Robert Shawyer – Head of Legal Services

Robert Shawyer is Head of Legal Services at Rhead Group; he joined the group as part of the integration of Alway Silver in 2010. He is also a Director of Alway Associates’ Wales and West region and a Partner at Silver Shemmings Solicitors.
Robert has an extensive list of qualifications and memberships gained over the course of a 25 year career in the industry, this gives him an exceptional theoretical and practical grasp of the law and its application to the construction industry.
He is well renowned in the industry and as such regularly speaks at events for institutions including RICS, CIOB, CIPS, CIArb as well as trade and private corporations, local authorities, training providers and UK government organisations.

Among his many other memberships and qualifications Robert is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Fellow of the Nationwide Academy of Dispute Resolution, Member of the Association of Partnering Advisors, Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors, Fellow of the Society of Chartered Surveyors, IBA Fellow in International Legal Practice, Visiting Fellow of the University of Glamorgan.
