Alan Proctor - Chairman

Alan joined the Rhead Group as Chairman in 2011. He has considerable expertise and experience in the alternative energy, environmental, water, property and infrastructure industries.  A former Partner and Executive Director at Hyder Consulting, he has held various positions in both the public and private sectors.

A Chartered Civil Engineer, Alan is currently Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee at the Whitehall Department of Business Innovation & Skills (B.I.S.) Executive Agency where he is also a Non-Executive member of their Strategy Board. Other Non-Executive roles include the Welsh Government’s Energy & Environment Panel and Welsh Water’s Strategy & Performance Panel. While executive positions have included senior positions with the Environment Agency and Welsh Water Plc and Global MD of Walis Evans Consulting.
